If you need to check a disc for file corruption or recover files from an already damaged disc try CDCheck.
I believe there is a 30 day trial?
And of course if it works and you like the software you can always support the makers and buy it.

- Click on start
- Click Run
- Type CMD in the dialog box
- Now in the prompt window type tracert (space) and the name of the address you want to trace. ex: www.google.com
- Write down the final IP Address from the prompt and head over to IP-adress.com
- In the box next to the button “lookup any ip” type in the IP Address you wrote down earlier
- Click on the “lookup any ip” button
- You should now have a google map of the location
